LINDSAY BREWER
Operation Manager, Apprentice Supervisor
After years in healthcare and struggling with chronic back issues, I found myself in a cycle of working until the pain was unbearable, then taking time off to rehab, only to repeat it again. I knew I needed lasting change — for myself and for my family.
I began private lessons with Cara and Carol, and everything shifted. Pilates not only helped me feel and move better, but also inspired me to complete Teacher Training and join the team.
Now, Pilates is part of my daily life. Outside the studio, I enjoy the outdoors, camping, travelling, and spending time with my family — who agree that discovering Pilates was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
CAROL ILLSLEY
Senior Teacher Trainer
Carol found Pilates with Cara after a motorcycle accident left her with chronic pain. What began as a way to manage lasting injuries soon became life-changing. Within 18 months, she was ready to pursue Teacher Training.
In 2011 she began her initial training with Clare Dunphy in Boston. She went on to complete the Authentic Pilates Canada Comprehensive Program in 2014 and later returned to Clare’s studio in 2017 to finish Advanced Teacher Training Seminars.
Over the years, Carol has deepened her expertise by attending conferences, workshops, and private lessons with leading teachers in the Pilates community.
Today, she is passionate about guiding others on their own journeys and helping them discover the powerful, restorative benefits Pilates can bring to their lives.

SANDRINE CORBIN
Senior Teacher Trainer
Sandrine served 14 years as a Mechanical Engineer in the Royal Canadian Navy before deciding it was time for a new path. Fitness has always been part of her life — from gymnastics to swimming, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding.
She began Pilates with Cara in 2013 and quickly felt the benefits, finding relief from back pain she’d had since her teens. Inspired by these changes, Sandrine completed the Authentic Pilates Canada Comprehensive Teacher Training in 2015 and embraced Pilates as her second career.
Today, she loves sharing the method’s transformative power with others. Fully bilingual, Sandrine also offers lessons in French for those who prefer it.
